Aug 30 (Reuters) - YRC Worldwide inc said on Wednesday it closed three Texas terminals and was running “limited operations” in Louisiana due to tropical storm Harvey.
YRC Freight, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide Inc, said it closed terminals in Beaumont, Corpus Christi, and Houston, Texas. The Overland Park, Kansas-based company also said operations were limited at a terminal in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The tropical storm that devastated Texas’ Gulf Coast spread to neighboring Louisiana on Wednesday, while the U.S. energy hub of Houston remained paralyzed by a record rainfall that also drove tens of thousands of people from their homes. (Reporting by Eric M. Johnson in Seattle)
