Turkey sees rebounds in capacity utilisation, manufacturing confidence

ISTANBUL, May 22 (Reuters) - Turkey’s capacity utilisation rate rebounded to 62.6% in May after hitting a 10-year low of 61.6% a month earlier, while confidence among manufacturers also jumped, data from the central bank showed on Friday.

The utilization rate measures how much of the economy’s potential output is being used.

Business confidence among Turkish manufacturers surged to 76.9 points in May from 66.8 a month earlier, separate data showed, reflecting the recovery in the economy as Turkey begins to ease measures curbing the coronavirus outbreak.
