NHC says 40% chance of cyclone over the central Atlantic Ocean

(Reuters) - A low pressure system located over the central Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the Azores has a 40% chance of developing into a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Monday.

“A tropical or subtropical depression could form on Tuesday or Wednesday before upper-level winds become unfavorable,” the NHC said in its latest advisory.
