Brazil's Senate suspends voting on amendments to pension bill

BRASILIA (Reuters) - Brazil’s Senate suspended voting on amendments to a bill overhauling the nation’s social security system on Tuesday night.

Earlier, the Senate passed the main text of the bill, in a step seen as key to stabilizing public finances and the economy. Senate President Davi Alcolumbre said the Senate would reconvene on Wednesday to finish voting on amendments.
