Shallow earthquake of magnitude 6.4 strikes in China, 280 km from Hotan: USGS

(Reuters) - A shallow earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck 279 km (173.36 miles) southeast of Hotan in China on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km, USGS added.
