MADRID (Reuters) - Spain’s Supreme Court postponed until Tuesday its decision over who has to pay for stamp duty on mortgages in future, El Pais newspaper said on Monday.
A spokeswoman for the court was not immediately available for comment.
The back and forth over the Supreme Court’s decision has hurt Spanish banking shares in the past two weeks. It has also prompted the Spanish lenders to demand greater legal security and predictable rules.
