Zeta likely to become a hurricane by the time it nears Mexico's Yucatan coast: NHC

(Reuters) - Tropical Storm Zeta is getting stronger and is likely to become a hurricane by the time it nears Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Sunday.

Zeta was about 305 miles (490 km) south-southeast of the western tip of Cuba, with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour (80 kph), the NHC said.
