Atlanta Fed lowers U.S. third quarter GDP growth view to 2.5 percent

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. economy is on track to grow at a 2.5 percent annualized pace in the third quarter based on the advance readings on domestic inventories in September, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow forecast model showed on Thursday.

The latest estimate for third-quarter gross domestic product growth was slower than the 2.7 percent growth rate calculated on Wednesday, the Atlanta Fed said.
