Fed official expects 'short lived' effects on jobs from Harvey

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A top Federal Reserve policymaker said on Tuesday she expects a temporary hit to monthly U.S. job growth in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and its floods in Texas.

Any effects on the payrolls data will likely be “short lived,” Fed Governor Lael Brainard said at the Economic Club of New York.
