WASHINGTON, Nov 16 (Reuters) - The U.S. Transportation Department on Monday said it had tentatively approved the proposed addition of Aer Lingus to the Oneworld alliance.
The carriers requested antitrust immunity to include Aer Lingus in the existing joint venture that includes American Airlines, British Airways, OpenSkies, Iberia, and Finnair.
As a condition of approval, the department proposed carriers continue to comply with slot remedies at London airports that were imposed when the alliance was first approved in 2010. (Reporting by David Shepardson Editing by Chris Reese)
