TREASURIES-U.S. yields hold at lower levels as jobless claims hit 49-year low

NEW YORK, Jan 24 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury yields held lower levels on Thursday as domestic jobless claims fell to a more than 49-year low last week in the face of concerns about slowing economic growth due to the government shutdown and trade tensions between China and the United States.

At 8:34 a.m. (1334 GMT), the yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury notes was down 4.3 basis points at 2.712 percent. (Reporting by Richard Leong Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
