U.S. sells 1-month T-bills at highest rate since Aug 2008

NEW YORK, June 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department on Tuesday sold $35 billion of one-month bills at an interest rate of 1.780 percent, the highest level since August 2008, Treasury data showed.

The ratio of bids to the amount of one-month T-bills offered was 3.04, matching the level last seen six weeks ago. This measure of overall auction demand was 3.25 at the previous $35 billion one-month bill sale held last week. (Reporting by Richard Leong)
