US retail sales fall in February

March 17 (Reuters) - The Commerce Department on Tuesday said U.S. retail sales in February ​fell 0.5%.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast retail sales would gain 0.2%. Data for January was revised up to show sales rising 0.6% instead of 0.3%. (Reporting by Dan Burns; editing by John Stonestreet)
