Mexico, Canada to lift tariffs on U.S. products once metals deal announced - Mexican official

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico and Canada will lift retaliatory tariffs on U.S. products once the United States announces that a deal has been reached to remove steel and aluminum duties from the two countries, a senior Mexican official said on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, the White House is expected to announce the agreement that would call for a monitoring system that aims to ensure that metals from other countries are not allowed into the United States.
