The State Trading Corporation of India Limited is a holding company. The Company's segments include export, import and domestic. It imports various types of mineral ores and concentrates. It is an importer of coal and coke, and has imported approximately 27.15 million metric tons of coal and coke. It has imported over four million tons of Urea. It supplies Technical Grade Urea as an industrial chemical to various industries, such as actual users, as well as Indian trader. It supplies complex fertilizers, sulfur, rock phosphate and phosphoric acid to various fertilizer companies. It imports various types of equipment/instruments, including medical equipment, police/security equipment, intelligence/surveillance equipment, laboratory equipment/instruments, tourism equipment, sports equipment and multimedia equipment.
