Russia's Novatek reports five-fold rise in annual profit

Feb 19 (Reuters) - Russia's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Novatek says::Its 2019 profit attributable to shareholders rose 5.3 times from 2018 to 865.5 billion roubles ($13.6 billion)..Its profit was affected by the sale of a 40% participation interest in the Arctic LNG 2 project and the reorganization of its joint venture Arctic gas..Excluding the effects from the disposal of interests in subsidiaries and joint ventures, as well as foreign exchange differences, normalised profit attributable to shareholders rose by 5.2% to 245.0 billion roubles..In 2019, its revenues and normalized earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose to 862.8 billion roubles and 461.2 billion roubles, or by 3.7% and 11.0%, respectively..The growth was due to higher sales of natural gas and higher domestic gas prices..  Full Article

Jan 23 (Reuters) - Russia's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Novatek ::The company may decide to increase its dividend payout ratio at end of the second quarter, Interfax news agency cited Novatek's CEO Leonid Mikhelson as saying on Thursday. .The company will increase its natural gas output by 1.5-2% in 2020, the CEO was quoted as saying. .Novatek will launch Yamal LNG plant's fourth train in first half of 2020, Interfax reported. .Novatek's CEO said the company will increase the capacity of its Ust-Luga complex by 3 million tonnes of gas condensate and will launch it in 2022, Interfax cited the CEO as saying. .Novatek will compete as part of a consortium for a contract to develop offshore fields in Lebanon, TASS news agency cited the CEO as saying. .Novatek will decide on external financing for Arctic LNG 2 project by the end of the year and plans to raise roughly $9-11 billion, the RIA news agency cited the CEO as saying. .  Full Article

Oct 30 (Reuters) - Russia's largest non-state gas producer Novatek says::Profit attributable to shareholders of Novatek increased to 370 billion roubles ($5.8 billion), or eight-fold, in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the same period in 2018; .Profit was significantly impacted by the recognition of a net gain on the sale of 10% and 30% participation interests in the Arctic LNG 2 project in March and July 2019, respectively;.In the third quarter, total revenues and normalized EBITDA, including the share in EBITDA of joint ventures, amounted to 189.2 billion roubles and 104.5 billion roubles, respectively, representing year-on-year decreases of 13.8% and 11.5%. .  Full Article

Russia's Yamal LNG boosts eastbound shipments via Northern Sea Route

Oct 1 (Reuters) - Russia's largest non-state natural gas producer Novatek says::Yamal LNG increased shipments to the Asian Pacific markets via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) in the third quarter..In total, 15 LNG cargos from the company's Yamal LNG project were shipped eastbound to the Asian Pacific markets during the period..The eastbound shipments represented about 25% of all LNG dispatched from Yamal LNG in that quarter..Planned 2019 volumes of LNG delivered eastbound to the Asian Pacific markets via the NSR will be more than 4 times higher than last year..A current fleet of 13 Arc7 ice-class tankers, along with lower ice-class designated tankers to transport LNG cargos, support the Yamal LNG project. .The full complement of 15 Arc7 ice-class tankers are expected to be in operation by the end of 2019, which will increase the number of direct LNG deliveries eastbound via the NSR..  Full Article
