UK's Ofcom Says Parcel companies admit breaking law

Sept 19 (Reuters) - Royal Mail PLC ::UK'S OFCOM - ROYAL MAIL, RESELLER OF ITS BUSINESS PARCEL DELIVERY SERVICES - SALEGROUP, ADMITTED BEING PART OF AN ILLEGAL ANTI-COMPETITIVE AGREEMENT.OFCOM - PROVISIONALLY FOUND THAT ROYAL MAIL/SALEGROUP AGREEMENT BROKE COMPETITION LAW BECAUSE IT AIMED TO RESTRICT COMPETITION BY SHARING CUSTOMERS.OFCOM - ROYAL MAIL WILL NOT BE FINED, PROVIDED IT CONTINUES TO COOPERATE FULLY WITH OFCOM'S INVESTIGATION.OFCOM - THE SALEGROUP HAS ACCEPTED A FINE OF £40,000 IN RELATION TO ANTI-COMPETITIVE AGREEMENT.
