Name Description

Hubert Joly

Mr. Hubert Joly is re-designated as Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company, effective June 11, 2019. He currently Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Carlson, Inc., a worldwide hospitality and travel company (2008-2012); President and Chief Executive Officer of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a business travel management company (2004-2008); senior executive positions with Vivendi S.A., a French multinational media and telecommunications company (1999-2004).Mr. Joly led Best Buy through its successful customer-focused Renew Blue transformation, which delivered improved customer satisfaction, market share gains, revenue growth and improved margins, and reduced $1.5 billion of costs to fund necessary investments. He is now leading the Company’s Best Buy 2020 growth strategy, focused on enriching people's lives through technology. Previously, Mr. Joly led the turnaround of EDS (now part of Hewlett Packard) in France, then led the restructuring and growth of Vivendi’s video game business. While at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the company’s sales grew from $8 billion in 2003 to $25 billion in 2007. He then led the implementation of Carlson, Inc's Ambition 2015 to reposition and grow the company's core brands.

R. Michael Mohan

Mr. R. Michael Mohan is appointed as President, Chief Operating Officer of the Company, effective June 11, 2019. He is currently Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer of Best Buy Co Inc. He is responsible for the category management, merchandising, marketing, supply chain and Best Buy Direct functions for Best Buy’s core U.S. business. Prior to his current role, he served as chief merchandising officer from 2014 to 2017; president, home from 2013 to 2014; senior vice president, general manager - home business group from 2011 to 2013; senior vice president, home theatre from 2008 to 2011; and vice president, home entertainment from 2006 to 2008. Prior to joining Best Buy in 2004 as vice president, digital imaging, Mr. Mohan was vice president and general merchandising manager for Good Guys, an audio/video specialty retailer in the western U.S. Mr. Mohan also previously worked at Future Shop in Canada from 1988 to 1997, prior to our acquisition of the company, where he served in various merchandising roles. Mr. Mohan serves on the board of directors for Bloomin’ Brands, a hospitality industry company that owns several American casual dining restaurant chains, and as a national trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Corie Barry

Ms. Corie S. Barry has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company, effective June 11, 2019. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of global finance, as well as information technology, digital technology, enterprise risk and compliance, audit, procurement and pricing functions. Ms. Barry joined Best Buy in 1999 and has held a variety of financial and operational roles within the organization, both in the field and at corporate. She most recently was the company’s chief strategic growth officer and the interim leader of Best Buy’s services organization from 2015 until 2016. Prior to that dual-role, she served as senior vice president of domestic finance from 2013 to 2015; vice president, chief financial officer and business development of our home business group from 2012 to 2013; and vice president, finance of the home customer solutions group from 2010 to 2012. Prior to Best Buy, Ms. Barry worked at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Matthew Bilunas

Mr. Matthew M. Bilunas is Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Bilunas has been the Company’s Senior Vice President, Enterprise and Merchandising Finance since April 2017, responsible for the performance management and planning processes for the overall enterprise. From November 2015 to March 2017, he served as Vice President, Finance for category, e-commerce and marketing and from May 2014 to October 2015 he served as Vice President, Category Finance. He joined the Company in 2006 and has served in a variety of finance roles, including both retail and international positions. Prior to joining the Company, he spent time at Carlson Companies, NRG Energy, Inc., Bandag, Inc. and KPMG. Mr. Bilunas graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Kamy Scarlett

Ms. Kamy Scarlett is Chief Human Resource Officer of the Company., and President, U.S. Retail Stores. In this role, she oversees talent development and the health and well-being of the more than 125,000 Best Buy employees worldwide. Ms. Scarlett joined Best Buy in 2014. She has served in a variety of retail operations, marketing and human resources leadership roles since beginning her career in retail more than 30 years ago. Most recently, she was senior vice president of retail and chief human resources officer for Best Buy Canada from 2014 to May 2017. She was responsible for sales and profits in more than 180 stores in addition to enacting the human resources and talent management strategies for the company. Prior to joining Best Buy, Ms. Scarlett was the chief operating officer from 2012 to 2014 at Grafton-Fraser Inc., a leading Canadian retailer of men’s apparel. She also previously held leadership roles at Loblaw Cos., Hudson’s Bay Co. and Dylex Inc.

Mathew Watson

Mr. Mathew R. Watson is Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Controller of the Company. He previously served as our vice president, controller and chief accounting officer from April 2015 until his current role. Mr. Watson is responsible for our controllership, financial operations and external reporting functions. Mr. Watson has served in the role of vice president, finance - controller since 2014. Prior to that role, he was vice president - finance, domestic controller from 2013 to 2014. Mr. Watson was also senior director, external reporting and corporate accounting from 2010 to 2013 and director, external reporting and corporate accounting beginning in 2007. Prior to joining us in 2005, Mr. Watson worked at KPMG, a professional audit, advisory and tax firm, from 1995 to 2005. He serves on the boards of directors of AchieveMpls and The Best Buy Foundation.

Brian Tilzer

Mr. Brian A. Tilzer has been appointed as Chief Digital and Technology Officer of the Company. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of information technology and digital at Best Buy to create a seamless and superior multichannel customer experience in support of the company’s Best Buy 2020 growth strategy. With more than 25 years of experience in strategic business development, operations and information technology, Mr. Tilzer has deep expertise in understanding, defining and delivering the technology necessary to provide a superior customer experience in a multichannel environment. Prior to joining Best Buy, he served as chief digital officer at CVS Health, the largest pharmacy healthcare provider in the U.S. He also has served as senior vice president of e-commerce for Staples and senior vice president of strategy and business development for Linens ’n Things. Before that, he held leadership roles with Accenture, including helping Best Buy with several growth and performance-improvement programs. Mr. Tilzer serves on the board of directors for Signet Jewelers, the largest retail jewelry chain in the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom.

Mr. Russell P. Fradin is an Lead Independent Director of the Company. He is Operating Partner at Clayton, Dubilier, & Rice, a private investment firm (April 2016-present); Chief Executive Officer and President of SunGard, a leading software and technology services company now acquired by Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (2011-2015); Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AonHewitt, a global provider of human resources consulting and outsourcing solutions (2010-2011); Chief Executive Officer of Hewitt Associates (2006-2010); President and Chief Executive Officer of The BISYS Group, Inc., a provider of outsourcing solutions for the financial services sector (2004-2006). Mr. Fradin brings experience as both a CEO and an executive board chair to his role as Best Buy’s Lead Independent Director. He has firsthand insight into the partnership between an engaged board and an effective, high-performing management team.

Lisa Caputo

Ms. Lisa M. Caputo is an Independent Director of the Company . Ms. Caputo’s position as Executive Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience of The Travelers Companies, Inc., makes her invaluable to Best Buy’s efforts to broaden its brand, rejuvenate the customer experience and transform its marketing and communications efforts to drive growth. In addition, her perspective gained from driving innovation efforts to explore partnership and investment opportunities at Travelers is helpful as we develop growth initiatives within the Company's Best Buy 2020 strategy. Ms. Caputo also spent 11 years at Citigroup, advising three CEOs on topics from marketing and communications to government affairs and community relations.

Joseph Doyle

Mr. Joseph Patrick Doyle is an Independent Director of Best Buy Co. Mr. Doyle has served as Chief Executive Officer of Domino’s Pizza, Inc., the second-largest pizza company in the world, since 2010. Prior to that, he held a variety of other senior leadership roles at Domino's. Under Mr. Doyle’s leadership, Domino’s has significantly enhanced its multichannel presence, with digital channels now accounting for 60 percent of U.S. orders. That expertise supports Best Buy’s goal of increasing its online market share. Having led remarkable growth and transformation at Domino’s, Mr. Doyle’s experience and insights are valuable to the Board and senior management as Best Buy undertakes a similar effort. Under Mr. Doyle, Domino’s rebuilt its reputation among consumers and nearly doubled its global retail sales from $5.5 billion in 2008 to $10.9 billion in 2016. Current Role: None. Effective at the end of the meeting, Mr. Doyle will serve as our Lead Independent Director. Kathy Higgins Victor

Ms. Kathy J. Higgins Victor is Independent Director of Best BUY Co Inc. She is President and Founder of Centera Corporation, an executive development and leadership coaching firm (1995-present); Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at Northwest Airlines, Inc., a global commercial airline now merged with Delta Air Lines (1991-1995). Ms. Higgins Victor is the founder and president of Centera Corp., an executive development and leadership coaching firm. She has extensive experience in human resources, talent management, organizational culture and succession planning. While serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Northwest Airlines, Inc., she was responsible for executive compensation, employee benefits and labor relations. She also held Human Resource-related leadership roles at The Pillsbury Co. and Burger King Corp. earlier in her career.

Mr. David W. Kenny is an Independent Director of Best Buy Co., Inc. He is Senior Vice President of IBM Watson (January 2016-present) and IBM Cloud (November 2016-present), business units of IBM, an American multinational technology and consulting corporation; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Weather Company, a leading provider of weather forecasts and information (2012-2015); President of Akamai, a leading cloud platform technology company (2011-2012); Managing Partner of VivaKi, a provider of integrated strategy, technology and marketing solutions for internet-based ecommerce companies (2006-2010); Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Digitas, Inc., which was later merged with VivaKi (1997-2006).

Ms. Cindy R. Kent is Independent Director of the Company. Ms. Kent was most recently president and general manager of the Infection Prevention Division at 3M Co., a multinational corporation operating in the fields of industry, health care and consumer goods. Ms. Kent has over twenty-five years of health care experience through her prior roles at 3M Co., Medtronic, Inc., and Eli Lilly & Co. President & General Manager, Infection Prevention Division, 3M (2016 - 2018);

Karen McLoughlin

Ms. Karen A. McLoughlin is an Independent Director of Best Buy Co., Inc. As the Chief Financial Officer of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp., Ms. McLoughlin brings strong financial acumen to the Best Buy board. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years in various finance management roles at Cognizant, Spherion and Rider System Inc.

Thomas Millner

Mr. Thomas L. Millner is an Independent Director of Best Buy Co., Inc. Mr. Millner served as CEO of Cabela’s, Inc., a leading multi-channel retailer of hunting, fishing and camping products, from 2009 to 2017. He also previously served as CEO of Freedom Group, Inc. and Remington Arms Co., Inc., a firearms and ammunition manufacturer.

Claudia Munce

Ms. Claudia Fan Munce is an Independent Director of the Company. She is Venture Advisor at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), one of the world’s largest and most active venture capital firms (January 2016-present); Managing Director of IBM Venture Capital Group and Vice President of Corporate Strategy at IBM Corp. (2004-15); Director of Strategy, IBM Venture Capital Group (2000-04); Head of Technology Transfer and Licensing, IBM Research (1994-2000). As a seasoned venture capital leader, Ms. Munce has developed a deep knowledge of strategic partnerships and M&A activities. She currently is a venture adviser at New Enterprise Associates, one of the world’s largest and most active venture capital firms. She also serves on the organizational boards of the National Venture Capital Association and Global Corporate Venturing Leadership Society.

Richelle Parham

Ms. Richelle P. Parham is Independent Director of the Company. As Vice President and Chief Marking Officer of eBay, Inc., Ms. Parham was tasked with transforming the company’s brand reputation. She focused on optimizing the company’s marketing budget to improve return on investment and new revenue streams, and she helped decrease attrition rates by building out the company’s CRM strategy and better understanding the customer’s path to making purchase decisions. She has strong knowledge of how to use data analytics for more effective targeting and pricing.

Eugene Woods

Mr. Eugene A. Woods is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Woods has over 25 years of health care administration experience through his roles at various hospitals and health care systems. He holds three degrees from Pennsylvania State University: a bachelor’s degree in health planning and administration, a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in health administration.
