Name Description

Alan Howe

Mr. Alan B. Howe has been appointed as Independent Director of Data I/O Corporation, effective January 31, 2013. He has served as the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Broadband Initiatives LLC, a boutique corporate advisory and consulting firm, since 2001. He served as Vice President of Strategic and Wireless Business Development for Covad Communications, Inc., a national broadband telecommunications company from May 2005 to October 2008. He served as CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development for Teletrac, Inc. from April 1995 to April 2001. Previously, he held various executive management positions for Sprint PCS, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. He is currently a board member and Vice Chairman of Selectica, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLTC) and has served on a number of private and public boards including in the past five years former reporting companies Qualstar, Ditech Networks, Inc., Altigen Communications, Inc., Proxim Wireless Corporation, and Crossroads Systems, Inc.. He has a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Indiana University and a Bachelors of Science – Business Administration and Marketing from University of Illinois.

Anthony Ambrose

Mr. Anthony Ambrose serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Data I/O Corporation. He joined Data I/O October 25, 2012 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Prior to Data I/O, Mr. Ambrose was Owner and Principal of Cedar Mill Partners, LLC, a strategy consulting firm since 2011. From 2007 to 2011, he was Vice President and General Manager at RadiSys Corporation, a leading provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions, where he led three product divisions and worldwide engineering. At RadiSys, he established the telecom platform business and grew it to over $125M in annual revenues. Until 2007, he was general manager and held several other progressively responsible positions at Intel Corporation, where he led development and marketing of standards based telecommunications platforms, and grew the industry standard server business to over $1B in revenues. Mr. Ambrose has a Bachelors of Science in Engineering from Princeton University.

Joel Hatlen

Mr. Joel S. Hatlen has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer of the Company effective July 1, 2017. He is currently serves as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance, Treasurer and Secretary of Data I/O Corporation. Joel has been with Data I/O for over 25 years, serving most recently as its Vice President of Operations and Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer. Previously he served Data I/O in Corporate Controller and tax positions and was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young. Joel is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting from Pacific Lutheran University.

Rajeev Gulati

Mr. Rajeev Gulati has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer, Vice President - Engineering of Data I/O Corp., effective July 30, 2013. Prior to Data I/O, Rajeev served as Director of Software Engineering for AMD responsible for tools, compiler strategy and execution from 2006 to 2013. He has an extensive background in software, systems and applying technology to develop new markets. Previously, he served as Director of Strategy and Planning at Freescale from 2004 to 2006; as Director of Embedded Products at Metrowerks (acquired by Motorola) from 2000 to 2004 and Director of Compilers, Libraries & Performance Tools from 1997 to 2000; and engineering and programmer positions at Apple Computer, IBM and Pacific-Sierra Research. Rajeev holds a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, New Delhi.

Michael Tidwell

Mr. Michael Tidwell is Vice President - Marketing and Business Development of the Company. Michael most recently served as VP of Marketing and Business Development for Tignis an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning startup from 2018 to present. Previously, he was with Arm Holdings (SoftBank Group) where he served as Head of Segment Product Marketing, IoT Services Group since 2017 and Director of Business Development from 2015 to 2017. He was with Sansa Security (acquired by Arm Holdings) where he served as Vice President Corporate Marketing and Business Development from 2014 to 2015 and Vice President North American Sales from 2012 to 2014. He previously served in executive and senior management positions at BSQUARE Corp. and Irdeto Mobile Inc. and as well as engineering positions in three startups and university research & development. Michael holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Douglas Brown

Mr. Douglas Wells Brown is Lead Independent Director of Data I/O Corp. Mr. Brown is the President and CEO of All Star Directories, Inc. in Seattle, Washington a Web-based publisher of post-secondary online and career school directories, which he joined in 2005. From 2003 to 2005, he provided governance and interim executive services, with engagements as President or Board member of venture backed clients. From 1998 to 2003, he was a Board member of GoAhead Software and was appointed its President in 2001. From 1993 to 1999, he was a President of a Seattle-area manufacturing company which became a Division of Leggett & Platt in 1996. Prior to that time, he was the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Oculon and Seattle Silicon, and Executive Vice President, Finance and Operations at Phamis. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Young & Co, now Ernst & Young in Seattle. Mr. Brown is a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Technology Industry Association. Mr. Brown has a Bachelors degree in Business from University of Idaho.

John Delafield

Mr. John D. Delafield is Independent Director of the Company. He has served as the President of Delafield Hambrecht, Inc., an investment firm based in Seattle, since 2001. Previously, he co-founded WR Hambrecht + Co. and held a number of positions including Chief Operating Officer. Prior to WR Hambrecht + Co., he worked at Morgan Stanley in investment banking in New York and Singapore and at The Coca-Cola Company in Beijing. He is on the board of directors of Seattle Bank, a private boutique bank in Seattle, Washington. He has served on a number of private and public boards, including in the past five years Cascade Microtech, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCD). He has a Master’s of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.

Mark Gallenberger

Mr. Mark J. Gallenberger has been appointed as Independent Director of Data I/O Corp., effective January 31, 2013. He served, until it’s acquisition in October 2018, as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer of Xcerra Corporation (formerly called LTX-Credence Corporation) (NASDAQ:XCRA), a global provider of test and handling capital equipment, interface products, test fixtures, and services to the semiconductor, industrial, and electronics manufacturing industries, which he joined in 2000. For the six years prior, he was Vice President/Senior Manager with Ernst &Young (Cap Gemini) in their consulting practice, establishing the Deals & Acquisitions Group. Previously, he held management and technical positions with Digital Equipment Corporation. He has a Master’s of Business Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s of Science – Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
