Name Description

Nisaba Godrej

Ms. Nisaba Adi Godrej serves as Executive Chairperson of the Board, Managing Director of the Company. She has been a key architect of GCPL's strategy and transformation in the last decade. In 2007, she initiated and led Project Leapfrog, which created a playbook for GCPL to accelerate domestic organic growth through innovation and consolidation, and to become a more global company by investing in emerging markets outside of India. Over the last ten years, GCPL's market capitalisation has increased twenty-fold - from INR 3,000 crore to INR 60,000 crore. Under Nisaba's leadership, GCPL has developed a very strong, engaged and ambitious team, and is consistently ranked as a great place to work. She has also institutionalised design driven thinking and directly leads product development. Nisaba is passionate about identifying and developing the talent required for the Godrej Group's future growth. Through her oversight of the Group HR function for Godrej Industries and associate companies, she has made Godrej a more meritocratic and highly performance driven organisation, while keeping the Group's values front and center. She has also spearheaded the Group's Good & Green agenda to drive more inclusive and sustainable growth. Her previous assignments within the Godrej Group have included the successful turnaround of Godrej Agrovet and the creation of a Group strategy function to oversee the Group's portfolio. In addition to GCPL, Nisaba is on the Board of Directors of Godrej Agrovet and Teach For India. Nisaba has a BSc degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is passionate about girls' education, the human mind, design, trekking and equestrian sports.

V. Srinivasan

Mr. V. Srinivasan serves as Chief Financial Officer, Compliance Officer, Company Secretary of the Company. He started his career as an Executive Trainee at Godrej. In his over 25 years with the Group, he has held key positions across different companies, including Godrej Agrovet, Godrej Industries and Godrej Properties. He has been closely involved with strategic projects, like the Godrej Soaps IPO, the Transelektra acquisition and the reverse merger of Gujarat Godrej Innovative Chemicals into Godrej Soaps. Srini's first senior leadership role was as Head of Finance and IT for Godrej Agrovet. He played a key role in the acquisition and integration of Goldmohur Feeds, the animal feeds business of Hindustan Unilever, which made Godrej Agrovet the undisputed leader in Animal Feeds in the industry. He was instrumental in rolling out the company's ERP in a cost-effective manner and ensuring a robust budgeting and MIS reporting process. He also led the implementation of Economic Value Added (EVA) at Godrej Agrovet, when the Group adopted EVA as its single most important performance management and evaluation metric. Post this, he moved to Godrej Industries as its Chief Financial Officer. During this period, Srini worked on a number of strategic cost saving and profit improvement projects for the oleochemicals business, apart from managing the Treasury and Forex. He was responsible for Investor Relations and various capital raising plans, including the first Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) in the Group.

Vivek Gambhir

Mr. Vivek Gambhir is no longer serves as Whole-Time Director of the Company effective 9/30/2020. He is the Chief Strategy Officer of Godrej Industries and its Associated Companies. Vivek joined the Godrej Group in 2009. He is responsible for enhancing the strategic capabilities within the group companies, guiding overall group strategy, conducting portfolio analysis, mergers and acquisitions and driving special projects. He helped define the CREATE portfolio strategy and the 10X10 vision for the Group. He also oversees the finance, investor relations, legal and IT functions for Godrej Industries. He leads the EVA (Economic Value Added) committee for the Group. He is the secretary of the Godrej Family Business Board (FBB). He also serves on the investment committee for Omnivore Capital, an agriculture technology focused venture fund backed by the Godrej Group. Prior to joining the Godrej Group, Vivek was a partner at Bain & Company, one of the world’s business consulting firms. He worked with Bain in Boston, Singapore and New Delhi. He was a founding member of Bain’s consulting operations in India and led the firm’s FMCG practice in India. Vivek has a MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS (Computer Science) and BA (Economics) from Lafayette College.

Mr. Adi Burjorji Godrej serves as Chairman Emeritus, Whole Time Director of Godrej Consumer Products Limited. He is an Industrialist having business experience. Ireena Vittal

Ms. Ireena Vittal serves as Lead Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. With a perspective across both developed and emerging markets, she helps companies define dynamic growth portfolios, assemble effective local top teams, and re-craft business models. She has also served governments and foundations to design and implement solutions core to India's development, such as sustainable rural growth and inclusive urban development. She was founding member of the McKinsey global emerging markets practice and of the economic development practice. She is also a much valued counsellor to leaders, who seek her practical judgment and empathetic coaching in an always evolving, often tough market. Ireena graduated in electronics and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Tanya Dubash

Mrs. Tanya Arvind Dubash serves as Non-Executive Director of the Company. Tanya Dubash is a Non-executive Director of Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL). Tanya serves as the Executive Director and Chief Brand Officer of Godrej Industries Ltd., and is responsible for the Godrej Group’s brand and communications function, including guiding the Godrej Masterbrand. Tanya is also a Director on the Board of Godrej Industries Limited and Godrej Agrovet Limited. She also serves on the boards of Britannia, Escorts, Go Airlines, AIESEC and India@75. Tanya was a member on the Board of the Bharatiya Mahila Bank between November 2013 and May 2015. She was a trustee of Brown University between 2012 and 2018 and continues to be member of the Brown India Advisory Council and on the Watson Institute Board of Overseers. Tanya was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2007. She is AB cum laudé, Economics & Political Science, Brown University, USA, and an alumna of the Harvard Business School.”

Jamshyd Godrej

Mr. Jamshyd Naoroji Godrej serves as Non-Executive Director of Godrej Consumer Products Limited since March 2001. He is the Chairman of the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre. The Centre is housed in a LEED Platinum demonstration building which is the first green building in India and the greenest building in the world at the time when it was rated. The Green Business Centre is a Centre of Excellence for green buildings, energy efficiency, energy conservation, nonconventional energy sources, water policy, water conservation, etc. He is the Chairman of Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. which manufactures and markets refrigerators; washing machines; air conditioners; office furniture; home furniture; security equipment for banks (such as safes, strong room doors, bank lockers, etc.) and for commercial establishments and homes; locks and latches, forklift trucks and warehousing equipment; process equipment for chemical, petrochemical, refineries and allied industries; precision tools for sheet metal, zinc, aluminium; real estate development. The Godrej group are leaders in home appliances, consumer durables, office equipment, industrial products, consumer products and services. Jamshyd Godrej is an ardent yachting enthusiast and has done extensive cruising along the west coast of India, the Baltic & North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea. The President of India conferred on Jamshyd Godrej the “Padma Bhushan” on 3rd April 2003.

Nadir Godrej

Mr. Nadir Burjorji Godrej serves as Non-Executive Director of the Company. He is the Chairman of Godrej Agrovet Ltd, Godrej Foods Ltd and Godrej Oil Plantations Ltd. He is the Managing Director of Godrej Industries Ltd. and Director in numerous companies including Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Godrej Properties Ltd., Godrej Sara Lee Ltd, Godrej International Ltd., Godrej Global MidEast FZE, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., and KarROX Technologies Ltd. He was the President of the Oil Technologists' Association of India, The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers' Assn. of India and Protein Food & Nutrition Development Assn. Mr. Godrej is also on the Advisory Committees of the Indian Chemical Manufacturers' Assn. At present he is the President of the Alliance Francaise de Bombay, and a Trustee of the Foundation of Medical Research, Mumbai. Mr. Godrej has completed his B.S. (Chem. Engg.) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and M.S.(Chem. Engg.) from Stanford University, USA. He did his M.B.A. at Harvard Business School in 1976, and was the George F. Baker Scholar. Mr. Godrej has been active in developing the animal feed, agricultural inputs and chemicals business. He is in research and has several patents in the field of agricultural chemicals and surfactants.

Pirojsha Godrej

Mr. Pirojsha Adi Godrej serves as Non-Executive Director of the Company. Pirojsha Godrej is a Non-Executive Director of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, Executive Chairman of Godrej Properties, Godrej Housing Finance, and Godrej Fund Management. Pirojsha graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 2002, completed his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in 2004, and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2008. Pirojsha joined GPL in 2004, became an Executive Director in 2008, and was appointed CEO of Godrej Properties in 2012. He has led the company through a phase of rapid growth. In Financial Year 2016, Godrej Properties for the first time became India’s #1 publicly listed real estate developer by residential sales, a position it has retained for the past 5 years. Under Pirojsha’s leadership, Godrej Properties has been at the forefront of the sustainable development movement; in 2013, GPL received an award from former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam for being one of the companies in India from across sectors to have driven the green building movement. Godrej Properties in 2016 was ranked #2 in Asia and #5 in the World in terms of its sustainability performance in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark Report. The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has awarded Pirojsha the IGBC Green Champion Award 2016 for his contribution to the sustainability of India’s built environment. In 2017, Pirojsha was appointed the Executive Chairman of Godrej Properties. He also assumed the role of Executive Chairman of Godrej Fund Management. In 2019, Pirojsha founded and became the Executive Chairman of Godrej Housing Finance. He has travelled to over 90 countries and every continent and his interests include chess, scuba diving, and rare-book collecting. He is married and is the proud father of two young daughters.

Narendra Ambwani

Mr. Narendra Kumar Anand Ambwani serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Ambwani is a professionally trained executive coach and business advisor. He brings with him experience of over 34 years of work with renowned multi-national Johnson & Johnson. He was Managing Director in Indonesia for 5 years followed by appointment as MD in India in 1995. He completed his corporate career in April 2009. Narendra serves on boards of leading corporates in India and acts as business strategy advisor. Narendra Ambwani had a career of 34 years with Johnson & Johnson, out of which 20 years as Managing Director in Indonesia and India. Currently, he serves on the boards of Godrej Consumer Products, Agro. Tech. Foods, RPG Life sciences, Parag Milk Foods, Disney UTV and Indian Society of Advertisers. He also mentors and guides CXO level leaders to successfully handle their multiple challenges. Narendra brings with him outstanding marketing and general management experience to the board. During his long stint with world renowned multinational Johnson &Johnson, he was responsible for developing strong leadership brands such as Johnson Baby, Stayfree and Band-Aid.

Pippa Armerding

Ms. Pippa Tubman Armerding serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. She is a lawyer and business professional with 20 years of experience operating across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. She is currently Director of the Harvard Business School (HBS) Africa Research Office. Prior to joining HBS, Pippa was an independent legal and strategy consultant, engaged in projects including those designed to empower and educate young Africans, particularly girls. She was also Legal & Corporate Affairs Director for Microsoft South Africa. She has also held several leadership roles with The Coca-Cola Company, across Africa, including Director of Pan-African Strategic Initiatives and General Counsel for Coca-Cola East & Central Africa. Pippa began her legal career as an attorney with the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Paris. Pippa is admitted to the New York State bar and received her J.D. in International Law from New York University School of Law. She received a B.A. in Government cum laude from Harvard University and is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management programme. She is a member of the Board of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls and of the Harvard University Alumni Association of South Africa.

Omkar Goswami

Dr. Omkar Goswami Ph.D. serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He is a Founder and Chairman of CERG Advisory Private Limited. CERG is the acronym for the Corporate and Economic Research Group. A professional economist, Goswami did his Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics in 1978 and his D.Phil (Ph.D) from Oxford in 1982. He taught and researched economics for 18 years at Oxford, Delhi School of Economics, Harvard, Tufts, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Rutgers University and the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. Goswami has served on several government committees. He was the Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Sickness and Corporate Restructuring in 1993, which recommended revamping India’s bankruptcy laws and procedures; member of the Working Group on the Companies Act; the CII Committee on Corporate Governance; the Rakesh Mohan Committee on Railway Infrastructure Reform; the Vijay Kelkar Committee on Direct Tax Reforms; the Naresh Chandra Committee on Auditor-Company Relationship; the N.R. Narayana Murthy SEBI Committee on Corporate Governance Reforms; and others. Goswami has been a consultant to the World Bank, the IMF, the Asian Development Bank and the OECD. He also serves on the board of Infrastructure Development Finance Company, Crompton Greaves, Cairn India Ltd. and DSP-Merrill Lynch Fund Managers.

Aman Mehta

Mr. Aman Mehta serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University. He has 35 years of experience in various positions with the HSBC Group. He was the Manager, Corporate Planning at The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation’s headquarters in Hong Kong. He was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC, USA Inc., the New York-based arm of HSBC Holdings plc which oversaw HSBC group companies in the Americas, before being appointed as Deputy Chairman of HSBC Bank Middle East, based in Dubai with responsibility for the Group’s operations in the Middle East region. Mr. Mehta was re-appointed General Manager International of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in February 1998, Executive Director International in May 1 998 and Chief Executive Officer in January 1999. Mr. Mehta became Chairman of HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad on January 1, 1999 and a Director of HSX Bank Australia Limited. Mr. Mehta retired from HSBC in December 2003 and presently is an independent Non-Executive Director of several public companies in India as well as overseas.

Sumeet Narang

Mr. Sumeet Narang serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with effect from April 1, 2019. He is the Founder of Samara Capital, an India focused investment firm with strong focus on growth buyouts. Prior to founding Samara Capital in late 2006, Sumeet briefly worked at Goldman Sachs, New York in their Proprietary Investments Group. During 2001-04, he worked with Citigroup India across various functions based out of Delhi and Hyderabad. He also has worked with the Fiat group in Italy and India. Sumeet earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and John Loeb fellow. He also earned a Masters in Business from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, where he was an Aditya Birla Scholar and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Ndidi Nwuneli

Mrs. Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. She is the Founder of LEAP Africa, Co-Founder of AACE Food Processing & Distribution, an indigenous agroprocessing company, and co-founder of Sahel Capital, an advisory and private equity firm focused on the agribusiness sector in West Africa. She is also the Director of the African Philanthropy Forum. Ndidi started her career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working in their Chicago, New York and Johannesburg offices. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree with honours in Multinational and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Ndidi was recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honour – Member of the Federal Republic from the Nigerian Government. She was listed as one of the 20 Youngest Power African Women by Forbes. She serves on numerous international and local boards including Nestle Nigeria Plc., Nigerian Breweries Plc., and Royal DSM Sustainability Board. She is the author of ‘Social Innovation in Africa: A Practical Guide to Scaling Impact’, published by Routledge in 2016. Ndidi’s appointment will enable GCPL to leverage her strong expertise and background to guide GCPL’s growth in Africa.
