Name Description

Foon Keong Lew

Mr. Lew Foon Keong (Charles) is Chairman of the Board of Hastings Rare Metals Ltd effective December 9, 2013. Mr. Lew has more than 25 years of investment banking experience, including serving as Managing Director of ABN Amro’s investment banking business in Singapore from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Lew has been involved in a range of investment banking activities, including global IPOs, equities’ placements, corporate mergers and acquisition, debt/equity restructuring, private equity investments and venture capital financing After leaving ABN Amro, Mr. Lew started his own investment fund company, Equator Capital in year 2000. The fund company is primarily involved in trading global managed futures, United States equities and options as well as private equity investing. He was active as a pre-IPO investor in a number of China based companies that listed on the Singapore Exchange between 2004 and 2008. Mr. Lew is an Independent Non-Executive Director of RHB Investment Bank Berhad since 2004 and is also on the board of RHB Islamic Bank. He was on the board of RHB Capital Berhad between 2005 and 2007. He served as in Independent Director on the board of Singapore Medical Group between June 22, 2007 and December 2, 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from University of East London and a Master of Science in Management Science from Imperial College, London.

Andrew Reid

Mr. Andrew Reid is Chief Operating Officer of the company. He has 25 years of expertise in mine management with experience in construction, commissioning and plant operation. Andrew has developed and managed mining projects in West Africa and Finland and was previously COO of Finders Resources Ltd, GM of Kevista Mine and First Quantum Minerals.

Steven Mackowski

Mr. Steven (Steve) J. Mackowski is a Technical Director of Hastings Rare Metals Ltd. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Primary Metallurgy). He was previously General Manager Project Development and Technology at rare earths company Arafura Resources Ltd. Mr. Mackowski is a qualified engineer in mineral processing with 30 years’ technical and operational experience in rare earths, uranium, industrial minerals, nickel, kaolin and iron ore. He has also worked at a number of mining companies including, Iluka, TiWest, WMC, Comalco, Hamersley Iron and Mary Kathleen Uranium Ltd.

Vivian Roberts

Mr. Vivian Roberts has been appointed as Director of Mining Operations of the Company, effective 8 November 2017. Mr Roberts has over 30 years of experience in large mining operations throughout Australia, covering several senior roles with large mining houses in various commodities. Mr Roberts has Bachelor degrees in Engineering (Mining), Economics and a Master of Business Administration. In the past 15 years Mr Roberts has held various senior leadership positions including; General Manager Iron Ore for BC Iron, General Manager Metals Division Thiess Australian Mining (for the provision of contract mining services), General Manager Operations for the Roy Hill Iron Ore Project, General Manager for Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine, Alliance Manager for Thiess Mining at the BHP Billiton Mt Keith mine and Operations Manager for the Tiwest JV Cooljarloo mineral sands mine. Mr Roberts has been directly involved in the establishment of a large (55 mtpa) iron ore mine starting from virgin ground through to plant commissioning and shipment. He has also been involved in the ramp up and expansion of several other mining operations including Prominent Hill, Century mine and Nifty Copper. Mr Roberts is a member of the AusIMM, WA Mining Club (Committee member) and Australian Institute of Company Directors (Graduate Member).

Neil Hackett

Mr. Neil John Hackett is Company Secretary, Non-Executive Director of the company. He has over 20 years’ ASX director, company secretary and senior executive experience in mining, industrials and funds management industries and a further 10 years corporate experience with the ASIC. Neil is currently Non-Executive Chairman of ASX listed lithium and gold explorer Ardiden Limited, Non Executive Director of ASX listed oil and gas explorer Calima Energy Limited, Council Member of John XXIII College and Independent Board Advisor and Company Secretary to Footwear Industries Pty Ltd (trading as Steel Blue Boots). Neil holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia, post-graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Investment, and Financial Planning, is a Graduate and Facilitator with the AICD and is a Fellow of FINSIA.

David Parker

Mr. David Rodney Parker is Joint Company Secretary of Augustus Minerals Limited. Mr. Parker has completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University, is a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance with Chartered Secretaries Australia. Mr. Parker is currently Company Secretary of Windy Knob Resources Ltd, Pacific Ore Limited (joint) and Alamar Resources Limited. Mr. Parker is a director of corporate services firm Cicero Corporate Services Pty Ltd. Mr. Parker was appointed Company Secretary on incorporation of the Company.

Guy Robertson

Mr. Guy Adrian Robertson is Director at Hastings Technology Metals Ltd. Mr Robertson has been associated with the Company since October 2011 until November 2018 when he resigned due to personal circumstances, now resolved. Mr Robertson (B.Com Hons CA) has significant experience as a Director and Company Secretary of ASX listed and private companies in both Australia and Hong Kong. Mr Robertson previously held senior roles in the Jardine Matheson group of companies over a period of sixteen years including Finance Director and Managing Director (NSW) for Jardine Lloyd Thompson Australia Insurance Brokers, Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer for Colliers International Property Services Asia Pacific and General Manager Finance of the Franklins Limited supermarket chain. Mr Robertson is a non-executive director of Metal Bank Limited.

Malcolm Randall

Mr. Malcolm Roger Joseph (Mal) Randall is Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Randall holds a Bachelor of Applied Chemistry Degree, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has more than 40 years’ of extensive experience in corporate, management and marketing in the resource sector, including more than 25 years with the Rio Tinto group of companies. His experience has covered a diverse range of mineral activities including Iron Ore, Base Metals, Uranium, Minerals Sands and Lithium. Mal has held the position of Chairman and director of multiple ASX listed companies and is currently also on the board of Kalium Lakes Ltd (where he is the Chairman), Argosy Minerals Ltd, Magnetite Mines Ltd and Thundelarra Ltd.

Jean Steinmetz

Mr. Jean Claude Steinmetz is Non-Executive Director of the Company. He was previously Chief Operating Officer for Lynas Corporation where he had operational responsibility for the mining operations and concentration plant at Mount Weld in Western Australia and the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP) in Malaysia. He also had oversight of the sales and marketing activities at Lynas. Mr Steinmetz has been involved in the chemical industry for more than 25 years with a strong focus on the automotive industry leading breakthrough projects in body developments and major reductions programmes of carbon dioxide (CO2) in compliance with European and global legislation. Mr Steinmetz has also held management positions in Rhodia-Solvay, GE and Du Pont. He currently serves as Chairman of the Auto Plastic and Innovative Materials Committee of Sino EU Chemical Manufacturers Association. Mr Steinmetz has a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Industrial Management from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is fluent in English, Dutch, German and French.
