Name Description

Ruediger Grube

Prof. Dr. Ruediger Grube serves as Independent Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company. Since 2017, he has been Chairman Investment Banking Germany at Lazard Ltd. Since 2017, he has been Managing partner at Rüdiger Grube International Business Leadership GmbH, Hamburg 2009 – 2017: Deutsche Bahn AG, Chairman of the Executive Board. Since 2001 – 2009: DaimlerChrysler AG, member of the Executive Board, responsible for corporate development, M&A, IT, shareholdings and (since 2004) in charge of activities in north-east Asia.

Angela Titzrath

Ms. Angela Titzrath serves as Chairwoman of the Executive Board, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. She is responsible for Corporate Development, Corporate Communications, Sustainability, Container Sales, Intermodal Segment and Logistics Segment. After studying economics and Romance language and literature at Ruhr University Bochum, she began her career as the Head of Operative and Strategic Controlling at Mercedes-Benz in Rome. She took on several international top management functions at the Daimler Group between 1991 and 2012, including CEO of the Mercedes-Benz Credit of Canada, Managing Director of the Mercedes-Benz Credit of North America in the US and European Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Bank. She also headed up all services, equity interests and the corporate strategy in the DaimlerChrysler merger. In 2002, Ms. Titzrath took on the role of commercial managing director at the Mercedes-Benz production plant in Spain and subsequently became Member of the Executive Board for Sales, Aftersales and Logistics for the Daimler AG Buses division. In 2012, she was appointed to the Executive Board of Deutsche Post AG, where she was responsible for Group Human Resources globally until 2014. In the last few years she has been an active Supervisory Board member for various companies and organisations, whilst also working as a consultant and lecturer. Ms. Titzrath has been a member of HHLA’s Executive Board since October 1, 2016 and its Chairwoman since January 1, 2017.

Berthold Bose

Mr. Berthold Bose serves as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Employee Representative of the Company. Since 2014, he has been Chairman of ver.di disctrict Hamburg. From 2002 – 2014: ver.di Hamburg, head of regional department for financial services, 1995 – 2002: DAG/ver.di, trade union secretary, department of financial services.

Roland Lappin

Dr. Roland Lappin serves as Chief Financial Officer, Member of the Executive Board of the Company. In 1980, he began a business training program at Degussa AG focused on foreign trade. He finished his studies in Hamburg in 1990 with a degree in industrial engineering. Dr. Lappin than worked for the SGS Societé Générale de Surveillance Group, initially as a management trainee and later as a business director and assistant to management in Geneva, Switzerland, and Hamburg, Germany. While working, he earned his doctorate in economics and social sciences at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Beginning in 1994, he worked as an advisor for planning and controlling at Schickedanz Holding-Stiftung in Fürth, Germany. Dr. Lappin joined our Group in 1996 and managed our department finance and investments in 1999. Dr. Lappin has been a member of our executive board since 2003.

Jens Hansen

Mr. Jens E. Hansen serves as Chief Operating Officer, Member of the Executive Board of the Company. He studied mechanical engineering in Hamburg from 1990 to 1994 before beginning his professional career as an engineer at Hanseaten-Werkstatt in Rellingen. Between 1996 and 2000, he furthered his education by completing a business administration degree. During this time he also worked as a mechanical and systems engineer on a freelance project basis. From 2001 to 2003, Jens Hansen was a controller in the executive departments of Technology and Logistics at Axel Springer AG in Hamburg. He joined HHLA at the end of 2003, where he first built up the Controlling department at the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA). In 2007, he took over as Head of Controlling at HHLA Container Terminals GmbH and became a member of the management at HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai in 2011. In 2014, he also became a member of the management of the Service Center Burchardkai (SCB).

Torben Seebold

Mr. Torben Seebold serves as Chief Human Resource Officer, Member of the Executive Board of the Company. From 2003 to 2009 he studied law in Regensburg, Liège and Cologne. After completing his legal internship in Wuppertal, he started his professional career with the services union ver.di. In 2010, he took on various duties and responsibilities at ver.di’s traffic department in Cologne, including that of experienced negotiator of regional labour agreements and was a member of various municipal company Supervisory Boards. In 2013, he was made head of ver.di’s Shipping group and, from 2014 onwards, the Port group. After the two groups were merged on 1 January 2017 to form the Maritime Economy group, Torben Seebold was appointed head of the group, which involved conducting negotiations on key labour agreements for the maritime industry on behalf of ver.di. As Vice Chairman of the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) he took on various positions of responsibility internationally.

Norbert Kloppenburg

Dr. Norbert Kloppenburg serves as Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of the Company. He also serves as Member of the Executive Board at KfW Bankengruppe. He also serves at KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH as Chairman, Deutsche Energie-Agentur Gmbh and as First Vice Chairman at Deutsche Investitions- unc Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.

Thomas Luetje

Mr. Thomas Luetje serves as Member of the Supervisory Board, Employee Representative of the Company. He has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V., Since 2015: Director of Sales at HHLA 2008 – 2015: Managing director of HHLA Container Terminals GmbH 2001 – 2008: Director of Sales and Marketing for the container business of HHLA 1999 – 2001: Managing director of Hansetrans Transport und Logistik GmbH, Hamburg 1995 – 1999: Managing director of Gerd Buss GmbH & Co. Thomas Mendrzik

Mr. Thomas Mendrzik serves as Member of the Supervisory Board, Employee Representative of the Company. He was Deputy Chairman of the Company's Real Estate Committee and Member of the Personnel Committee. Mr. Mendrzik is electrical technician by profession. He is Chairman of the HHLA Container-Terminal Altenwerder GmbH Works Council. His other Supervisory Board mandates include HHLA Container Terminals GmbH and SCA Service Center Altenwerder GmbH, among others.
