Edoardo Garrone

Mr. Edoardo Garrone serves as Chairman of the Board of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since July 5, 2018. He is Chairman of Sorveglianza di San Quirico S.p.A. and ERG Group. From march 2013 to June 2014, he was Chairman of U.C. Sampdoria S.p.A., from May 20, 2011 to February 2013, Executive Vice Chairman of U.C. Sampdoria S.p.A., from June 15, 1990 to April 2003 Vice Chairman of ERG S.p.A. He graduated in Political Science from Universita degli Studi di Firenze.

Giuseppe Cerbone

Mr. Giuseppe Cerbone serves as Chief Executive Officer of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since August 1, 2018. Previously Cerbone has been Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of ANSA since 2008, after a first term served between 1998 and 2002. He obtained a Ph.D. in the USA, specializing in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and worked with NASA Ames Research Center and NeXT Computer. Upon his return to Italy an initial experience at the IRI-Stet Group was Chief Executive Officer followed by appointments as Chief Executive Officer at Il Sole 24 Ore Group. For years he has committed himself to research and the spread of technological know-how linked to the knowledge economy. He was Vice President of the Italian Institute of Technology, Counsellor to the president of the Telecommunications Forum and Professor Economics and Business Management for publishing companies at the Journalism School of LUISS University of Rome. Currently he is President of the national news agencies for the Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FIEG) and Vice president of PuntoIT, a non-profit Association for the spread of Internet in Italy and Europe through companies and institutions.

Carlo Robiglio

Dr. Carlo Robiglio serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since November 15, 2016. He earned a degree in Law at the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano. He is the founding chairman and CEO of Ebano S.p.A., the holding company operating mainly in the publishing and digital economy sector. From 2002 to 2005, he was Regional President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group in Confindustria Piemonte. From 2010 to 2013, he was President of the Small Industries Committee of the Industrialist's Association of Novara, and Vice-President of the Managing Board of the Association. From 2002 to 2005, he was member of the Presiding Committee of Confindustria Piemonte as Vice-President, and member of the board of Confindustria Piemonte. From 2000 to 2002, he was President of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Group and member of the Managing Board of the Industrialist's Association of Novara. He is currently President of the Regional Committee of Small Industries of Confindustria Piemonte, and member of the Central Committee of Small Industries of Confindustria at a national level. He is member of the General Board of Confindustria for the 2015-2017 period. He is editor-in-chief of “L’Imprenditore”, the national magazine of the Small Industries Group of Confindustria. Since April 2016, he has been Board Member of the Sole 24 Ore S.p.A

Alfonso Dell'Erario

Mr. Alfonso Dell'Erario serves as Managing Editor and Communications Director of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. He holds a degree in Law. He began his career as the editor of economics and politics for Settimanale (Rusconi). He then worked in advertising offices (Martini & Rossi) and press offices (Coldiretti). From 1982 to 1985, he was a field reporter for economics and politics for the press agency AdnKronos. From 1986 to 1996, he was a journalist for Il Messaggero, where he became department editor. Between 1996 and 1997, he was head of the Rome office of the Montedison Group. In 2001, he became head of the Communications Area for Confindustria (the Italian confederation of industry). Since the end of May 2007, he has been Director for Communication, Public Relations and Marketing co-ordination.

Luigi Predieri

Mr. Luigi Predieri serves as Head of Internal Audit of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. since November 30, 2016. He was Secretary at Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. from April 29, 2016. He was Legal Director and Corporate Affairs and Extraordinary Transactions Director of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. from 2007. He is a graduate in Law and then became a Board-Certified Lawyer. Until 1991, he worked in the Legal Affairs office for Ansaldo S.p.A. From 1991 to 1997, he was Manager in RCS Editori, Member of the RCS Group. In 1994, he became Legal Affairs Officer for RCS Films & TV, where he also headed the corresponding office for the Los Angeles branch of the RCS Group and held the position of Business and Legal Affairs Officer for Majestic Films Limited (a member of the RCS Group) in London. From 1997 to 1998, he was Legal Affairs Officer for BMG Ricordi S.p.A. Then from 1999 to 2007, he was head of Legal and Corporate Affairs for the Camuzzi Group.

During his professional career he has held various positions in a number of companies, including Chairman of the National Young Businessmen's Committee (Comitato Nazionale Giovani Imprenditori) of Confindustria from 1978 to 1982; Chairman of the Lazio Federation of Industrialists (Federazione Industriali del Lazio, from 1983 to 1986; Chairman of Confindustria from 1992 to 1996; President of the University LUISS Guido Carli from 1993 to 2001, Chairman of the Rome Industrialists and Business Association (UIR - Unione degli Industriali e delle imprese di Roma) (2004-2008), Chairman of the Luiss Business School (since 2009); lifetime ex-officio member of the Confindustria Board of Directors, Chairman of IEG Italian Entertainment Group S.p.A., Chairman of Cinecitta Studios S.p.A.; Chief Executive Officer of Cinecitta Entertainment S.p.A; Chairman of A.BE.T.E. Azienda Beneventana Tipografica Editoriale; Chairman of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro S.p.A. (since 1998). On June 22, 2007 the University of Sannio awarded him an honorary degree in economics and business. He is a graduate in Law.

Giuseppina Mengano Amarelli

Ms. Giuseppina Mengano Amarelli serves as Non-Executive Director of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since November 14, 2016. She is the chairman of Amarelli Sas, Rossano (CS), one of the world’s oldest family businesses, producers of liquorice since 1731. She is deeply involved in the promotion of business culture in an area in Southern Italy such as Calabria, linking the longstanding history of success of her company to the prospects of local growth. For her commitment, she was awarded in 2011 the honorary citizenship of Rossano. In the company’s expansion on international markets, she combines the latest technology with the full respect for traditional craftsmanship, producing whatever can be derived from liquorice roots. World leader in the industry, the company operates in Italy, Europe, America, Asia and Australia. A university lecturer, lawyer and freelance journalist, she earned a degree in law in 1967 at Universita degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Together with the other family members, she established the "George Amarelli” Liquorice Museum, inaugurated in July 2001, which was honored with a postage stamp in 2004. In 2012, the Family Archive, which stores documents dating back to 1445 up to the present day, was declared of significant national historical interest by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. A former board member of Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna, she is a member of the Supervisory Body of Bperservices and of the Local Office Committee of Southern Italy. She is a Board Member and President of the Supervisory Body of Touring Club Italiano, and Board Member of the “Orientale” University of Naples and of Aurora Penne, Turin. President of Tecnesud-Consorzio Tecnologico per la Calabria and Member of the Advisory Committee of Fondazione “Calabresi nel Mondo”. Former Deputy Chairman of ANM S.p.A.

Marcella Panucci

Ms. Marcella Panucci serves as Non-Executive Director of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. since July 31, 2012. Since November 2011 she has served as Chief of the Technical Staff and Economic Adviser to Minister Paola Severino at the Ministry of Justice. Since 2009 she has served as Director of Legislative Affairs at Confindustria, where she held various responsibilities such as Director of the Legal Affairs, Finance and Company Law Unit. She graduated in Law from Luiss Guido Carli Libera Universita Internazionale degli Studi Sociali and holds a Ph.D. in Discipline Freedom of Competition at Universita degli Studi di Perugia in a consortium with Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi and Libera Universita Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli di Roma.

Luigi Gubitosi

Mr. Luigi Gubitosi serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since November 15, 2016. He has been Operating Partner of Advent International since October 2015. Prior to that, he was General Manager of RAI from July 2012 to August 2015. From November 2011 to July 2012, he was country manager and head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Italy. From 2007 to 2011, he held the position of CEO of Wind Telecomunicazioni, after joining the company in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. From 1986 to 2005, he held various positions in the Fiat Group: Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director and Group Treasurer; he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fiat Partecipazioni and Board Member of Fiat Auto, Ferrari, Iveco, Itedi, Comau and Magneti Marelli. He teaches Corporate Finance at the LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. He is Board Member and President of the Control and Risk Committee of Il Sole 24 Ore. Luigi Gubitosi was previously Vice President of Confindustria Servizi Innovativi e Tecnologici (CSIT), of Asstel and member of the Tax and Corporate Governance Committee of Confindustria. He was also member of the organizing Committee of the 2006 Turin Chess Olympics and Board Member of Cometa (metalworkers’ pension fund), F2i Sgr and Maire Tecnimont. Luigi Gubitosi earned a Masters of Business Administration at INSEAD. He holds a degree in Law from Universita degli Studi di Napoli. Luigi Gubitosi is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and was Chairman of the European Advocacy Committee.

Dr. Patrizia Elvira Micucci serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since November 15, 2016. She is Consultant of Neuberger Berman Europe Limited since 2017.

Livia Salvini

Prof. Livia Salvini serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of IL SOLE 24 ORE S.P.A. since November 15, 2016. A graduate and Ph.D. in Law, initially research fellow then associate professor and, since 2001, full professor of taxation law. Teaching positions at Molise University and Roma Tre University and, since 2005, tenured professor at LUISS-Guido Carli, Rome. Author of monographs and numerous other scientific contributions on, inter alia, VAT, the investigation procedure, abuse of law, State fiscal aid, and fiscal federalism. She has attended numerous conferences for scientific, training and retraining purposes. She is a member of the scientific committee of the following publications: - Rassegna Tributaria, Il Fisco Gruppo Wolters Kluwer; - Rivista Trimestrale di Diritto Tributario, Giappichelli; - Diritto e pratica tributaria, Cedam. She is a Court of Cassation lawyer and founding partner of “Salvini Escalar e Associati – Studio legale tributario fondato da F. Gallo”. As a legal adviser, she mainly assists Italian and international corporate groups. She is specialized, inter alia, in fiscal aspects relating to the energy, telecommunications and cooperative fields, and in the legal assistance and representation in tax proceedings, in disputes before the higher courts and in criminal proceedings for tax crimes. She is the chairman of the board of statutory auditors of Coopfond S.p.A., a company with special legal status. Auditor of Atlantia S.p.A., listed company. Board Member of IGD SIIQ, listed company. Member of the Scientific Committee of the Confindustria Study Centre. She was a member of several ministerial working groups on the drafting of tax rules, including the MEF group on the implementation of the enabling tax law (law no. 23/2014). She is the President of the Tax Committee of the “Il Trust in Italia” association. She has taken part as a tax expert in many TV programmes (RAI 1, RAI 3, LA7).
