Name Description

Ratan Tata

Mr. Ratan Naval Tata serves as Chairman Emeritus of Tata Chemicals Ltd. Mr. Tata was the chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 till his retirement on December 28, 2012. Thereafter, he has been conferred the honorary title of chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Tata Industries, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Tata Chemicals. Mr. Tata was the chairman of the major Tata companies and during his tenure the group’s revenues grew manifold, totaling over $ 100 billion in 2011-12. Mr. Tata serves on the international advisory boards of Mitsubishi Corporation, JP Morgan Chase and Rolls-Royce. He is the chairman of the Tata Trusts which are amongst India’s oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organisations that work in several areas of community development. He is the chairman of the Council of Management of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and also serves on the board of trustees of Cornell University and the University of Southern California. Mr. Tata joined the Tata Group in 1962. After serving in various companies, he was appointed Director-in-Charge of the National Radio & Electronics Company Limited in 1971. In 1981 he was named chairman of Tata Industries, the group’s other holding company, where he was responsible for transforming it into a group strategy think- tank, and a promoter of new ventures in high technology businesses. Mr. Tata received a B.Arch. degree from Cornell in 1962. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1975. The Government of India honored Mr. Tata with its second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008.

Ramakrishnan Mukundan

Mr. Ramakrishnan Mukundan serves as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Executive Director of Tata Chemicals Limited. During his 27 year career with the Tata group, he has served across the chemical, automotive and hospitality sectors of the group. An engineer from IIT Roorkee, he joined the TAS in 1990, after completion of MBA. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

John Mulhall

Mr. John Mulhall serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from on 20 October, 2015. Mr. John Mulhall is a graduate of the university of strathclyde and a Member of the lnstitute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Mrr Mulhall has held responsible positions in the finance functions within the Tata Chemicals Group since 2007. He was a Finance Director at Tata Chemicals EUrOpe followed by positions in Taia Chemicals North America lnc. (Vice President & CFO) and Tata Chemicals lnternational Pte Ltd, Singapore as CFO. Prior to Tata chemicals, Mr. Mulhall worked in finance function for various UK manufacturing companies.

Rackanchath Nanda

Mr. Rackanchath Nanda serves as Chief Human Resource Officer of the Company. HE has completed his post graduation in human resources and has also done several professional certifications and executive development programmes. Mr Nanda has over three decades of rich experience in human resources across varied sectors like manufacturing, trading, retail, consumer durables, FMCG, telecom and services. He started his career with the Murugappa Group in Chennai, where he spent nearly 15 years in a variety of roles – in human resources and also as the head of manufacturing and commercial for the foods business. He has also led the human resource function for Amara Raja Group and the Dubai based Landmark Group. Mr Nanda joined the Tata group in 2006 with his first role being at Tata Communications (formerly known as VSNL). He moved to Tata Chemicals in May 2012 and currently oversees the global functions of human resources and administration, business ethics and communications. He is also a trustee on several of the company's social sector initiatives like TCSRD, Okhai and Uday. Nanda is a professional member of SHRM, NHRD and NIPM and also represents the company and industry in several forums within CII, BCCI and EFI.

Rajiv Chandan

Mr. Rajiv Chandan serves as General Counsel, Company Secretary of the Company. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and has a masters' degree in commerce and a law degree from the University of Mumbai. Mr Chandan heads the legal, company secretarial and corporate governance functions at Tata Chemicals. He has 25 plus years of experience in the areas of legal, company secretarial, corporate laws, litigations, corporate governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions and divestments, including cross-border M&A transactions. His experience is spread across diverse industries, including the paper, automobiles, logistics, cement, chemicals, FMCG and fertiliser sectors. Before joining Tata Chemicals, he was vice president – legal and company secretary, Lafarge Cement, India.

Martin Ashcroft

Dr. Martin Ashcroft is Managing Director of Tata Chemicals Europe of the Company. He was appointed on April 1, 2010, having been the operations director since January 1, 2007. Holding a chemistry degree from Oxford University and a PhD in inorganic chemistry from Manchester University, he held several technical and operating roles in Brunner Mond between 1994 and 2007 including site director of the company's Netherlands site for two years. During this time he led two business re-engineering programmes for Brunner Mond. In January 2011, Martin led the company in completing the successful £93 million acquisition of British Salt and then followed up in April 2011 by heading the re-branding of the enlarged company as Tata Chemicals Europe at the same time as each of the Tata Chemicals overseas entities. Between 2013 and 2015, he designed and led the fundamental restructuring of the management team and Northwich-based operations which included the acquisition and investment in the 400MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant, previously owned by EON. He is an executive board member of Tata Chemicals Europe Holdings and several subsidiary companies. He is a member of the Tata Global Chemicals Board (GCB) where he leads on Tata Chemicals' interests in Europe. He is a member of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) board and board member of the Chemical Industries Association. In 2016, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He is qualified to Grade 8 standard on violin, piano and organ, and plays regularly at choral services and occasional recitals.

Martin Keighley

Mr. Martin Keighley is Managing Director of Tata Chemicals North America of the Company. He is currently CEO of Tata Chemicals North America, responsible for its US operations along with Tata Chemicals Soda Ash Partners, its partnership with O-I, the world's leader in container glass. Martin serves as an executive director on the Boards of Tata Chemicals and the Partnership, along with a number of other subsidiaries and joint ventures. Holding a Chemical Engineering degree from Cambridge University, Martin joined ICI, where he held various roles with ICI and then Brunner Mond in Engineering, Production management, Marketing and General management before leading the acquisition of Akzo Nobel's soda ash business in the Netherlands. After two years working in Holland, where he led the integration of the business, he returned to the UK as Commercial Director and then Managing Director when Tata Chemicals took over the business in 2005. After leaving Tata in 2007 he took a year's sabbatical which he spent back-packing around the world with his family before becoming CEO of an early stage technology company, focusing on water purification, out of the University of Manchester. Martin re-joined Tata Chemicals in the US in 2013 to take up a new role as CEO of Tata Chemicals North America and its Mining and soda ash operations in Green River Wyoming. Martin is active in a number of industry bodies and trade associations and is currently serving on the Governor's ENDOW Advisory Board for the State of Wyoming.

Jackson Mbui

Mr. Jackson Muchira Mbui is Managing Director of Tata Chemicals Magadi of the Company. He has previously worked with G4S Kenya, a subsidiary of G4S plc as the deputy managing director. Jack also served as the general manager – car and general, for four years and as production manager at Coca Cola. He is a registered engineer with the engineers registration board and a member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). Jack founded the Courier Industry Association of Kenya (CIAK) and was its founder chairman for a period of 10 years. He also serves as a council member of St John ambulance. Jack Muchira Mbui served as a representative of G4S in the governing council of the Kenya Security Industry Association (KSIA). He is a fellow (FKIM) of the Kenya Institute of Management and has also served on the institutes' governing council. Jack holds an MBA in strategic management and a B.SC in mechanical engineering from the University of Nairobi.

Zarir Langrana

Mr. Zarir Langrana serves as Executive Director of the Company., with effect from April 1, 2018. He was President - Global Chemicals Business of the Company. Zarir Langrana is the chief operating officer of the chemical strategic business unit (SBU) of Tata Chemicals and is responsible for its operations and growth in India. He also serves on the board of the international subsidiaries of the company. In the past, Mr. Langrana has headed the global marketing and strategy function — overseeing and directing all sales and marketing plans, developments, growth and new product activities and processes in these two areas for its global chemicals business across the four continents where it operates. In addition, Mr. Langrana has led the post-merger integration programmes within the chemical SBU. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Langrana headed the corporate strategy and business development function and was a key player in the global inorganic growth of the SBU and in the M&A process. He has been with Tata Chemicals for over thirty years, having been inducted through the Tata Administrative Services. Mr. Langrana is an economics graduate from the University of Madras and holds a post graduate qualification in business management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Mr. Langrana has attended advanced executive development programmes at Harvard Business School and other institutions. Mr. Langrana is an active participant in various industry bodies and trade associations in the country and abroad.

Richa Arora

Ms. Richa Arora is Chief Operating Officer, Consumer Products Business of the Company. She is an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a Chevening scholar from the London School of Economics. Richa has more than 25 years of wide-ranging experience in FMCG marketing, strategic planning and communications. She has worked across many brands, consumer segments and industries, as also in highly competitive markets like foods and consumer durables. Prior to joining Tata Chemicals in 2014, Richa had set up Five by Six Consulting in 2008 – a boutique strategic marketing consulting firm, advising companies like McCain Foods, Britannia and Wipro Consumer Care. Before Five by Six Consulting, Richa was the head of marketing and innovation at Britannia Industries. She has also previously worked in leadership positions at Balsara Home Products and Draft FCB. Besides building businesses, Richa is an avid photographer who in addition to solo exhibitions has also exhibited at the India Art Fair.

Mr. D.K. Sundar serves as Chief Operating Officer - Urea Business of the Company. He has an experience of more than 35 years in diverse set of industries including paints, steel, glass, plant protection and industrial chemicals, in addition to the crop nutrition industry. His association with the Tata group has been for the last 15 years and his previous assignment was in Rallis India, another Tata group company, as its chief financial officer. In his current role, he is responsible for the urea plant at Babrala, the Centre for Agri Technology at Aligarh and the sale of all agri inputs in the northern part of India, including DAP, MOP, specialty nutrients, customised fertilisers, seeds, crop protection products, etc., in addition to urea. He also handles the advocacy related issues for both plants and the traded business.

Bhaskar Bhat

Mr. Bhaskar Bhat serves as Non-Executive Director of Tata Chemicals Limited. He has an extensive experience and expertise in sales and marketing. He is the Managing Director of Titan Company Ltd. At Titan, he has handled several portfolio like sales and marketing, HR, international business and has been responsible for the outstanding growth of the company. He is also a member of the governing council at the TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal, and the SDM Institute of Management and Development, Mysore. He is a Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Madras.

Padmini Kaicker

Mrs. Padmini Khare Kaicker has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Company., effective from April 1, 2018. Mrs. Padmini Khare Kaicker is the Managing Partner of B. K. Khare & Co., one of the leading and respected lndian Accounting Firms, serving the profession for almost five decades. She ioined the accountancy profession in 1990 after completing her B. Sc. in Mathematics. She is also a Certified public Accountant (USA) and a Diploma holder in Eusiness Finance from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of lndia. She has over 25 yearc of experience serving large and mid-sized clients in several sectors in the areas of Audit, Taxation, Corporate Finance, Corporate Advisory, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, M&A and restructuring activities. She is on the Boards, as lndependent Director, in several reputed companies.

Sankaranarayanan Padmanabhan

Mr. Sankaranarayanan Padmanabhan serves as Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Padmanabhan is currently the executive chairman, Tata Business Excellence Group and has recently been given additional responsibility as Head of Group HR for Tata Sons. He is also on the board of Tata Power, Infiniti Retail and The Associated Building Company and is Non- Executive Chairman of Tata Consulting Engineers. His career with Tata group of companies spans over 34 years and began with Tata Consultancy Services, where he held several senior positions. He was also the Executive Director-Operations of Tata Power and was responsible for the profitable and sustainable operations of the company. He is a Glaxo Marketing Scholar Medallist, a Distinguished Alumnus from IIM Bangalore, and a Gold Medallist and a Distinguished Alumnus from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Nasser Munjee

Shri. Nasser M. Munjee is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Tata Chemicals Ltd. Mr. Munjee is an independent director on the board of Tata Chemicals Limited since 2006. In the past, he served HDFC bank for over 20 years and was an Executive Director there. He was a Managing Director at IDFC and a technical advisor on the World Bank’s Public Private Partnership Infrastructure and Advisory Fund. He is also associated with several public and private institutions in leading positions such as a chairman, a member of the board or as a trustee. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics.

Vibha Rishi

Ms. Vibha Paul Rishi serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Ms. Rishi is an independent director on the board of Tata Chemicals Limited since 2014. She is an experienced marketing professional with stints in Indian and international markets, coupled with an abiding passion for people. Her last role was as the executive director, brand and human capital of Max India, prior to which she was the director, marketing and customer strategy at the Future Group. She has been with PepsiCo for 17 years in leadership roles in the areas of marketing and innovation in India, US and UK. She serves on the boards of several reputed companies and is also on the board of Pratham, an NGO that works for educating underprivileged children. She holds a BA degree in economics from Delhi University and a master of business administration degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi.

Y. S. P. Thorat

Dr. Y. S. P. Thorat serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Dr. Thorat, is an independent director on the board of Tata Chemicals Limited since 2010. He has been a chairman of the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and executive chairman of the Dryland Farming Commission. He has chaired the Agriculture Universities Recruitment Board, Government of Maharashtra and is actively associated with various academic institutes. He has significantly contributed to the field of policy support for agriculture finance, supervision and export credit. A university rank holder in political science, Dr. Thorat has a degree in law, a doctorate in economics and is a D.Lit. He is a recipient of the prestigious Gopal Krishna Gokhale Award.
