Mr. Matthew Anderson is Chief Marketing Officer at Roku in 2013. He is responsible for retail device sales, global marketing, communications and customer service across the company’s three business units – streaming media players, content and services, and OEM partnerships. Prior to becoming CMO, Matthew was Strategic Advisor to the company focusing on corporate strategy and development, including capital raising, and supporting marketing and communications. Previously, Matthew was Group Director, Strategy and Corporate Affairs, Europe and Asia, of News Corporation where he focused on strengthening performance of the television businesses (now 21st Century Fox) in the areas of branding, marketing, channel packaging, programming, communications and corporate responsibility. Before this, Matthew was Group Director, Communications and Brand Marketing at British Sky Broadcasting (Sky) where he ran all brand and content marketing and communications. Prior to Sky, Matthew was regional chief executive officer of one of the world's top PR firms, Ogilvy Public Relations, in charge of operations across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. In addition to his role at Roku, Anderson serves on the Board of MOBY Group, a leading emerging-markets broadcaster. Matthew holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has attended Harvard's Global Leadership and Public Policy Program in conjunction with the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leader program.
