So much for the start of spring. Instead of daffodils and sunshine, many residents on the east coast are witnessing cold air and snow. Drivers in Plymouth, Massachusetts were in for a wet commute, Monday morning. According to weather reports, at least a half foot of snow had piled up in eastern parts of the state. But on the so-called first day of spring New Yorkers got a wallop too on Sunday, with many documenting the spring snowfall in Times Square. For the most part, the East Coast has had a mild winter... but even so, residents in Babylon, New York say they were ready to wave goodbye to Old Man Winter. (SOUNDBITE)(English) BABYLON RESIDENT, MICHAEL FORGIONE, SAYING: "I think it's pretty crazy that it's snowing on the first day of spring I don't really like snow so if we could just get the 75 and blue skies back that would be nice!" But residents may have to wait just a little bit longer for the warmth, as Winter Storm Regis continues to move across the East Coast.
