It looks like Venice will be a star studded affair - with films from both Matt Damon and George Clooney competing for the top prize. It's Damon's film - Downsizing that will kick off the 74th annual Venice Film Festival. Meanwhile Clooney is back in the director's chair for "Suburbicon" - a black comedy also starring Damon and Juliane Moore. The world's oldest film event will also launch a virtual-reality competition - the first-ever for the genre at a major cinema showcase. Meanwhile the Lifetime Achievement Award will be picked up by Jane Fonda and Robert Redford, who also present their new film "Our Souls at Night". There are 21 films competing for the festival's top prize - the Golden Lion. It's down to the jury to decide who gets what, and this year - it's American Beauty star Annette Bening who's the jury president. All the glamour and films start on Aug. 30 and it's all be over for another year by Sept. 9.
