ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Speaking to reporters during a cabinet meeting, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed to "handle" an ongoing crisis with North Korea over missile tests on Monday (July 31). "We handle everything," Trump said without offering specifics on how his administration plans to address the crisis. North Korea said on Saturday (July 29) it had conducted another successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile that proved its ability to strike the U.S. mainland, drawing a sharp warning from Trump and a rebuke from China. Speaking at the first cabinet meeting that included newly sworn in Chief of Staff John Kelly, Trump blamed "previous administrations" for international crises in the Middle East and North Korea. "We'll handle North Korea. We will be able to handle North Korea. It will be handled. We handle everything," he said. On Sunday, the United States said it shot down a medium-range target ballistic missile in its latest test of the country's THAAD missile defense program, which is designed to protect the country against potential threats from countries such as North Korea and Iran.
