ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta and his main opposition rival Raila Odinga cast their votes on Tuesday (August 8) as Kenya heads to the polls. Kenyatta casted his vote from Gatundu on Tuesday morning. the 55 year-old businessman and son of Kenya's first president is running for the second time against arch rival Raila Odinga, who voted from Nairobi. The 72-year-old former political prisoner is the son of the east African nation's first vice-president. After two months of campaigning marked by fiery rhetoric but public speeches largely free of the ethnic hate that has sullied previous contests, opinion polls have put the pair neck-and-neck.
