ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. The newest winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, says he didn't even know he'd won until a flood of journalists started looking for him. Ishiguro, one of the most acclaimed British authors of modern times, telling reporters at first he thought it was a hoax. Ishiguro has written novels with themes of regret, acce ptance, and absurdity. One of his most renowned works, "The Remains of the Day," was turned into an Oscar-nominated film in 1993 featuring Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins.
