Sterling gains as May seeks help in Brussels, stocks fall

Sterling rose on Thursday after Prime Minister Theresa May survived a no confidence vote from her party but investors said gains could quickly evaporate if Britain's parliament remains deadlocked over Brexit. As David Pollard reports, UK domestically-focused stocks also fell as investors saw little had changed.
