Monster Worldwide, Inc. (Monster Worldwide), incorporated on August 30, 1996, is engaged in connecting people to jobs. The Company offers services in over 40 countries, providing job seeking, career management, recruitment and talent management capabilities. The Company operates in three segments: Careers-North America, Careers-International and Internet Advertising & Fees. As of January 31, 2015, the Company had over four million jobs available across its network in the United States. Monster Twitter Cards tweets jobs throughout the day to a company’s or recruiter’s Twitter feed. Monster Social Ads uses Twitter’s Ads application program interface (API) to provide the automated social recruiting job ad solution. Monster Social Ads enable to reach candidates on Twitter, based on career attributes, such as occupation or industry type. As of January 31, 2015, the Company provided recruiters’ access to over 130 million candidate profiles aggregated from social sources across the Web, in addition to Monster’s own database of 25 million searchable resumes. TalentBin provided by the Company surfaces job candidates by assembling profiles using professional activities from relevant sites.
Monster offers the 6Sense semantic search technology to allow job seekers and employers to find a match. Monster also offers a cloud-based search product SeeMore, which allows its customers to utilize semantic search technology on their own talent databases. The Company’s commercial talent platform called Monster Talent CRM provides end-to-end sourcing or integrated components into existing recruiting workflows. Monster Talent CRM is a self-service campaign and messaging platform that utilizes the same capabilities as Monster Power Resume Search technology to identify, source and create campaigns for recruiters and uses integrated customer relationship management (CRM) toolsets to create one-to-one or one-to-many recruiting campaigns against them.
Monster operates a government solutions business, Monster Government Solutions (MGS), which sells software solutions to federal, state and local governments and educational institutions within the United States and the United Kingdom. MGS provides recruitment solutions that engage seekers and employers online, enable MGS customers to find qualified candidates. These services include career sites hosted by MGS utilizing a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Monster offers customers applicant tracking services, diversity offerings and other ancillary services either directly or through alliances to meet the needs of customers. It services its customers through a field sales force, telephone sales force and an online service, where its customers advertise jobs and access the resume database.
Careers (North America and International
Monster works by connecting employers with job seekers at all levels and by providing searchable jobs and career management resources online in North America, Europe and Asia markets. For the employer, it provides solutions and technology to serve the hiring process and deliver access to its community of job seekers. For job seekers, it provides work-related content, services and advice. Its services and solutions include searchable job advertisements; resume database access; recruitment media solutions through its advertising network and partnerships; twitter cards and social job distribution; social profile aggregation, and other career-related content. As of December 31, 2014, Careers North America and Careers International segments represented approximately 57% and 35% of the Company’s consolidated revenue respectively.
Internet Advertising & Fees
Monster’s Internet Advertising & Fees business operates a network of Websites that connect companies to targeted audiences. The Company offers online services for the users of Websites through personalization, community features and content. The Company's Internet Advertising & Fees segment offers two types of services: display advertising and lead generation. Display advertising opportunities is integrated across the Monster Worldwide network of Websites, allowing marketers to deliver targeted online advertising messages through a range of units. Lead generation is a direct response business in which marketers pay for connections to consumers whose demographics match the requirements of specific business or educational offerings and who request information about the offerings. As of December 31, 2014, Internet Advertising & Fees segment represented approximately 8% of the Company’s consolidated revenue.
