Syrian families return to their homes in al-Sakhour district in eastern Aleppo after rebel fighters fled the area following intense fighting. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

A grim homecoming in eastern Aleppo. Rebel fighters have now fled the area -- women and children are coming home. Cleanup efforts are underway. But the city is still littered with signs of war. While the Syrian army's advance in Aleppo slowed on Thursday -- a victory is still firmly in sight. President Bashar al-Assad has said that retaking Aleppo would change the course of the civil war in his favor. In the past two week government forces have seized more than two-thirds of rebel-held eastern Aleppo, which had been in insurgents hands for years. Now the challenge of rebuilding what has been left behind.
